Bucko battles the father/son team of Harold and Chris Lavair. |
 |
Nick Sweet leads the pack in his heat race. Youngster Sweet seems to
have a handle on the tricky Airborne track. |
 |
Mike Bruno(22) getting up close and personal with Andy Kane (27). |
 |
Check out how much power these Mods put down to the ground!! The
sidewall is just begging for mercy on that rear tire!! |
 |
Shannon Tomasavich broke something in the driveline and pulled into
the infield out of harms way. |
 |
First off.... aren't those chains supposed to be holding the bumper
on or something? If so, how exactly do they work when they are not
connected to anything other then the bumper? Secondly... that is
my mom's old Honda Accord on the outside.... LOL I just find that
amusing! |
 |
Brian Rogers was running good til getting dumped coming out of turn
4. |
 |
Mike Rivers takes the checkers on opening day. |
 |
Coming down to the last few laps of the Mod Feature had Patrick
Dupree leading Don Scarborough by a slim margin.... |
 |
Only to lose traction and let the 11 car slip underneath to take the
win. |
  |
Not sure if these are Don's kids but they are big fans and were
ECSTATIC when the 11 took the checkers. |
 |
Bucko Branham pretty much owned the field all day, though he later
failed tech and the win went to his nephew Robin Wood. It was Robins
second Spring Green in a row, putting him in rare company that includes
Junior Hanley. |
 |
Robin had to fight hard to get up front and stay there. He deals
with long time VT racer, Chuck Beede here. On this day, having Wood was
better then Milk I guess. |
 |
Mark "The Hammer" Barnier blew something and spun around the mid
point of the race. |
 |
Matt White tests the new ABC body out. I bet he was hoping someone
else would test its damage rating first. |
 |
With the division split, the Warriors now have mostly experienced
racers all together and it shows. 15 laps of caution free racing with
lots of side by side action. |
 |
The new Bomber class for the begining drivers was not without its
own excitement when the 14 of Mike Bresette torched up. Mike was ok but
if he wants my advice.... ditch the sweatshirt and blue jeans and get a
firesuit for the next race. |
 |
Cool wallpaper of the week..... check out the start of the Mod
