
ACT "Most Improved Driver" Nominees Announced

Waterbury, VT - - Patrick Laperle of St Denis, Quebec, the 2002 ACT New England Dodge Tour runner-up, and Thunder Road Milk Bowl winner Dave Pembroke of Montpelier, VT are among the Late Model candidates for ACT's "Most Improved Driver" award, to be presented at the ACT Banquet of Champions, Saturday, January 18, 2003.
Scott Dragon, Cooper MacRitchie and Tim Martin are also on the ballots which ACT drivers and owners will use to select the Late Model recipient and his NAPA Flying Tiger Sportsman counterpart. The NAPA Sportsman "Most Improved" nominees are 2002 Airborne Raceway champion Craig Bushey, Scott Payea, Jason Bonnett and Pete Ainsworth.
Dragon, 29 of South Hero, VT won an ACT Dodge Tour event at Star Speedway and was seventh in the final standings. MacRitchie was a two-time Thunder Road feature winner, while Martin's finest Thunder Road season included six top-10 finishes.
Phil Scott of Middlesex, VT will be honored as the 2002 ACT Dodge Tour champion. Scott will also be crowned the 2002 Thunder Road Late Model and Airborne Raceway Late Model track champion.
