
ACT Announces 2003 Thunder Road, Airborne Schedules,
New England Dodge Tour Slate Soon To Follow

Plattsburgh, NY - - The American Canadian Tour (ACT) has announced 2003 stock car racing schedules for Thunder Road and Airborne Raceway and says it is nearing completion of a 16-race New England Dodge Tour slate.
Thunder Road will begin its 44th season atop Quarry Hill in Barre, VT with the Merchants Bank Freedom Lynx 150, an ACT New England Dodge Tour event, Sunday, May 4. Season highlights include the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic, Sunday, May 25, a Busch North NASCAR Series event Saturday, August 30 and the 40th Vermont Milk Bowl Saturday/Sunday, September 27, 28.
Airborne Raceway will open a full-season schedule Sunday, April 27, with the Remington "4-10" Shootout Late Model Invitational and three weekly divisions, the NAPA Flying Tigers, Street Stocks and Renegades. The 2003 return of ACT Late Models to weekly racing is being considered provided sufficient competitor interest exists. The Plattsburgh, NY half-mile oval will host two ACT New England Dodge Tour events, the 28th Spring Green Saturday, May 10 and the 32nd Fall Foliage 2000, Sunday Sept 14.
"We've decided to go forward with a full complement of races at Airborne and we expect to offer a variety of special events, such as demo derbies, stunt shows and the like, as a build-up to Airborne's 50th anniversary season in 2004," said ACT President Tom Curley.
The soon-to-be-announced ACT New England Dodge Tour schedule is expected to consist of 16 events and will likely include ACT's first appearance at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, MA since 1988.
