Street Stockers doing what they do best... going three deep.
New Team Outside Groove member Aaron Maynard taking the Outside Grove around possible future Team Outside Groove member Chris Levair. Pretty soon they should just name the Street Stocks the Outside Groove Street Stocks and just get it over with!
2002 Airborne Champ Jamie Rabideu looking for a way to the front during the Semi Feature.
Jamie found his way passing Justin St. Louis for the lead and running off and taking the checkers for the second time of the day.
Poor Sylvain Lacombe's day ended abruptly in the turn one wall during the 50 lap feature to fill the field for the ShootOut.
The LMS big boys mixing it up in turn four. Wasn't a good day for several of these hard chargers.
Course Doug Murphy probably wishes he had stayed home. He got spun on the PACE lap and turned into the wall. OUCH! And I figured this car was a shoe in for Best Appearing car at the Thunder Road show on Saturday... maybe they will just judge one side of it!
Jean Paul Cyr getting his thoughts together just prior to heading out to start the 4-10 ShootOut.
Jean Paul Cyr getting into a heck of a mess with Patrick Leperle, Jimmy Winters and a hidden in the pile up, Brent Dragon.
Jamie Rabideau on his way to the front in the feature, hoping for a triple crown when disaster struck, he got a little loose and came together with Curtis Lagrave and got a flat rear tire.
See? Flat as flat can be, Jamie ended up stuck in the mud and went down a lap before the yellow flew, then got stuck in the pits when they went green. He then just loaded it up, not much point in risking the car when ya know your well out of any real points.
Winning his first ever Street Stock race, Chris Levair takes the checkers!
I bet he would rather be home watching tv right now then sitting broadside in front of a pack of screaming late models in the back stretch!
Poor Doug Murphy, his driveshaft decided it wanted to twist like a pretzel and take the day off. Doug had to watch the Tigers flash by from the infield with me. Hey for me it was cool to be hangin out with him watching the Tigers, but to him, it just had to suck. Go get em at The Road Doug!
Your 2003 Remington ShootOut winner, Dave Wilcox, scoring his first win on the ACT tour and taking home a nice big $5000 check and a cool shotgun courtesy of Remington. Good job Dave, its been a pleasure watching you move up in the ranks the last couple years.
The sun was setting as Jamie Fisher climbed out of his tired and worn racing machine. He fought hard to finish in the third position.
