Canaan Association of Racers for Racers (CARR) Announces 2003 Plan to
Large Crowd; Rules Meetings Begin
CANAAN, NH (December 15, 2002): This past Saturday, the Canaan
Association of Racers for Racers (CARR) held its first general
membership meeting to discuss how the group will operate at the Canaan
Fair Speedway in 2003. A group of almost 250 racers, car owners, and
sponsors gathered at the Canaan Fair Speedway to hear CARR
representatives introduce a program that will be operated by racers for
racers.
Butch Elms spoke first regarding the physical changes that will be made
to the pit area. His message was clear and was favorably received by
those in attendance.
Mike Brousseau spoke next and presented details about purses, point
funds, schedules and sponsorship. Again, all of these areas were
received favorably by each attendee. Rules were discussed briefly and
there are some issues that will be resolved in the division meetings,
which will start this week. The Street Stocks will kick off these rules
meetings on Thursday, December 19th at Joe's Family Car Care in
Claremont, NH. The meeting will start at 6:30pm and those interested in
attending this meeting are encouraged to participate in these
discussions.
A 2003 schedule is starting to take shape and will be released and
updated as new sponsors are signed and new events are added. Practice
Day is set for April 19th along with a $1000-to-WIN Enduro event. CARR
will hold an Open Show on September 27 & 28, 2003.
