"OPS and ACT Team Up for 2003"
OXFORD, ME---Oxford Plains Speedway President Bill Ryan and American Canadian Tour President Tom Curley announced today that the popular Vermont based ACT Dodge Tour would return to the Speedway for two visits next year, on July 12 and August 2. "We are pleased and excited to announce that the ACT Dodge Tour will be at Oxford Plains Speedway for the Maine-ly Action Sports ACT Dodge Tour 100 on July 12, the night before the True Value 250," Bill Ryan. "The addition of the ACT Dodge Tour brings all of the best Late Model and Pro Stock racers in New England and Eastern Canada to Oxford Plains Speedway for the weekend. With the ACT Dodge Tour on Saturday night and the True Value 250 on Sunday, it will be an incredible weekend. If you're a short track racing fan, you cannot miss these races." The ACT Dodge Tour 100 is set for Saturday night July 12 with qualifying to start at 6 PM.
The ACT Dodge Tour will return on August 2 for a second race at the famed Oxford Oval. "The ACT Dodge Tour is expanding throughout New England with the additions of races in Connecticut and Massachusetts this year. We look forward to a long partnership with the series", Ryan stated.
It will mark the third year that the ACT Dodge Tour has visited Oxford Plains Speedway. Ryan more won the 2001 event and Ricky Rolfe won the 2002 edition. Both drivers went on to win the Speedway Late Model Stock Car division championships in those respective years.
Reserved seat tickets for the True Value 250 are now on sale at the Oxford Plains Offices and make great stocking stuffers. Season ticked packages for the entire Oxford Plains Speedway season have been posted on the acclaimed OPS web site,
