ACT back to speedway51 and Waterford great places to watch.  Oxford will be interesting for car count in May, makes 250 weekend even more exciting.  Now that ACT is back to speedway 51, it would be nice if the Thunder Road and Speedway51 could come up with common ground so there could be a twin state tiger tour, 2 races at each track would be fun, and help car count for both places although it looks like Thunder Road car count is going to ok.  Look for Whelen Childs to run a modified this season at Legion speedway.  Doesn't look good for car count in the late models at bear ridge, wonder how much longer that division will be around.  Bear Ridge going to need a new parts truck as Whelen sold his this off season.  Any other local news out there?

I would really like to get my tape of the final race held at Catamount Speedway back. It has a lot of meaning to me because my dad was the one who taped the race and I could hear his voice on the tape. It was not long after that he passed away. It would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

After seeing this story

last night (and a similar one on 60 Minutes), maybe it's not only the lack of controversy now, but the lack of dopamine here as opposed to other social media sights. Maybe OG needs a way to "like" posts or to have somebody to always reply in a positive manner to keep people addicted and coming back. As a facebook & twitter hater, it's hard to imagine how screwed up the world will be 10 years from now.

It seems like many other things that died in 2016/2017, OG is on the list.  With no one to stir the pot and no controversies going on and a world that is addicted to social media , the age of a localized message board seems to be a thing of the past.

It had a good run and I will keep it running for the time being but I no longer have the time nor interest to be the guiding force and it is obvious people have moved on for a variety of reasons.

Have a Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and spend some time with your families!!!

Another racer told me your dad was getting a tiger.  Must have been wishful thinking on his part or misunderstanding of their conversation.  Maybe you can pump some fire into him, you know he would have a blast, more hobby than business compared to the late models.

Great momentum for sure.  I'm excited to see what improvements Chris and Pat have up their sleeves next.

As far as my old man racing next year, that's news to me! As much as I'd enjoy watching him wheel a race car again, I'm afraid your rumor is just that.  Curious who you heard that from?

Amazing that the new owners have taken on the things that Andy B and myself had pointed out as major problems and the reason the track was losing cars and fans and have turned it around. Maybe instead of people getting so butt hurt that someone was criticizing their favorite track and worried about our feud with promoter they should listen to the message and not base their hate on who the messenger is.

I for one think what is going on at TR is awesome, the old energy there is back. Kudos to everyone involved.

Well first exciting news of silly season, the new ownership at Thunder Road is now the new ownership of ACT.  Hopefully the fresh energy they brought to the Road will carry over to the tour.  Also hearing rumblings of returns of Pete Ainsworth, Kris Grout, and also heard that Eric Williams may be in a tiger next year.  Craig Bushey and Kevin Boutin recently purchased Tigers, this is all great for the sport, whether they race full time, part time or even at various tracks, it brings up car counts and energy for the sport.  Maybe a mini Tiger tour can be brought back with the new ownership.  Saw Chris Chambers in a Tiger at the Milk Bowl, with Kevin Streeter, Kelsea Woodard, Cooper Bouchard, and Brandon Lanphear all in Tigers full time next year, Thunder Road only  looks to be getting its old magic back.  I know its not the 40 Tigers in the pits like years past, but definitely trending in the right direction.  Hope even if car counts expand past 30 they only start 26, better racing for the fans, this coming from a guy who is yet to put together a solid 40 lap run.  Would love to see John Donahue get out of the rocking chair and into the seat of his brand new Tiger sitting in his shop.  Can you imagine Dwayne, Eric, and John banging doors again, talk about selling tickets.  Haven't heard much from the Late Model ranks yet, with new management I'm guessing some big news to be following. Anyone else have any news or thoughts to pass along

For me personally it was the first time I have won back to back championships (tigers at WMMP) although this is my 5th championship total.

Racing in general the LCQ at the oxford 250 when Jeremy Davis moved two cars on the last lap to go from 3rd to the win was incredible. He did it with out wrecking either cars, but with the amount of aggression need to get the final qualifying spot for the 250. He was in a very desperate situation but sill managed not to destroy the other two cars getting where he needed to be. It was probably the single best lap of racing I have ever seen in my life.
