A big congrats to Joey Pole. Maybe his luck is turning around. His car was awesome tonight as was his driving. Also congrats to all the other drivers. Nice to see Glen Luce #7 come in  5th..

Best race I have seen at Oxford...
ever!!!

They were racing 3 (and 4) wide all night long. 51 cars showed up & the heat races where worth the price of admission by themselves, especially the Potter/MacDonald fireworks.

Eddie MacDonald was unbelievable, passing at least 8 cars in less than a lap after the 2nd (and last) caution of the race.

Congrats to the 97 team, very impressive win, passing the 89 and 32, and then holding off the 51 & 17.

Nick Sweet was remarkable to run about the first 30 - 40 laps with his hood up and most of the time in heavy traffic.

Almost half of the top ten in ACT Tour points didn't qualify. Some of the drivers who were DNQ:
Phil Scott
Donald Theetge
Eric Chase
Bobby Dragon
Ricky Wolf
Ron Henry

...and Brent Dragon also came very close (got the last ACT provisional) to not making the race.
Lots of championships there!!

The best advertizing the Oxford 250 could get happed last night!!

Agreed Andy! But from the pit stands it didn't look like there were many people in the grand stands. But it was hard to see what with the lights. Glen Luce and Joey Pole put on quite a race in the beginning for awhile. But I think Joey had too much car last night and he ran an amazing race. IMO..

Yeah, that's why I always sit in the main grandstand there even when I have a pit pass. For the day races it's fine watching from the pit stands, but at night when the lights are on it just seems like it's easier to see the whole track from the spectator stands, although you probably had a great view of MacDonald's late race heroics.

I would say the crowd was around 3000 - maybe a little more. Pretty good by today’s standards and safe to say they went home feeling they had seen a great program.

All-Star was changing $25 a head for Supermodifieds last night and only had 8 of them show up. I bet the fans who paid to watch that show were wishing they had done something different.

I think you are right Andy. When it got dark and they turned on the lights it was hard to follow the car around the track. But yeah saw some great racing. And 51 cars showed up! WOW!! And the local track racing was good too. I enjoyed watching the ladies duke it out!
Jason good finally meeting you too. Looking forward to WMMP!!

I think in my own opinion that the best racing last night was Joey Pole and Glen Luce. It was so awseome to see two drivers run HARD door to door for 35+ laps Clean and respectful to each other. I went over last night to thank the 7Me. crew and they are a great bunch of guys and a welcomed addition to the tour. See Ya next week!!!

A few of us made the trip up to Maine, Great racing!! The 51 and 17 are very good in the 3rd groove there. It was also sad to see Randy Potter in the 02 back in his old form. Wrecking the 17 after the checkered flag in his heat race. Why wasn't he sent packing for the day, like the 26 at Airborne for rough riding?

Maybe you should call Tom Curley and ask him.. as he made the decision..
You can probably reach him at the ACT office.
